Diamonds Rock the Red Carpet
The 69th Annual Golden Globes held Sunday 15th January 2012 in Beverly Hills, California, was no exception. Celebrities adorned in spectacular diamond jewels took to the red carpet in an overwhelming number of carats. Diamond studs, drops and chandelier earrings were once again a favourite, with a few out of the ordinary pieces.

Best Supporting Actress nominee Jessica Chastain accessorised with over US $1 million worth of Harry Winston jewellery, including pearl and diamond earrings, a diamond feather ring, and a vintage diamond bracelet to compliment her embroidered high-neck white Givenchy gown.
If you thought US $1 million is enough in diamonds, to top it off, Sofia Vergara added US $5 million worth of Harry Winston diamonds for her nomination as Best Supporting Actress.
Freida Pinto looked elegant in 145 carats of fancy yellow diamonds set with 1,705 carats micro-pave diamonds by Chopard.
Actress Kate Beckinsale, was the talk of the evening in over 300 carats of diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz. “I’m just blinged out” the actress admitted.
Best Foreign Film nominee, Angelina Jolie, brought out the big guns with her 25 carat diamond stud earrings and 12 carat platinum and diamond ring, both from Lorraine Schwartz.
Always elegant and feminine, Jessica Alba, presented the award for Best Animated Feature Film in 37 carat platinum diamond earrings by Bulgari.
