VISITING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Cape Town Diamond Museum is committed to providing memorable experiences to every visitor. The terms and conditions outlined below are applicable to visiting the Museum. These terms and conditions are in place to assist the Museum in delivering on its commitment.
A few general rules to abide by when visiting the Museum:
- Do not touch display cases
- No food, beverages or gum
- No smoking allowed
- No pens or markers
- Kindly silence your mobile phone
- Keep noise levels to a minimum
The Museum cannot guarantee that for any visit all our exhibits or other facilities will be open. The Museum will endeavour to advise potential visitors to the Museum of any limitations current at any time.
Photography in the Museum is permitted for private, non-commercial use. Photographs may not be reproduced, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. No flash, monopods, tripods, or large camera bags allowed. The Museum reserves the right to request that any photograph taken whilst in the Museum is deleted upon the sole discretion of the Museum Guide.
Children and students remain the responsibility of the adults accompanying them at all times during the visit and cannot be passed to the Museum Guides or other Museum staff. It is the responsibility of the adults in charge of the visit to:
- ensure the appropriate behaviour by children / students at all times and that they make reasonable and careful use of the Museum and its collection,
- ensure that they follow any specific instructions given to them by the Museum Guide or other members of Museum staff whilst at the Museum.
Bookings of 6 people or more is considered a group booking. The Museum reserves the right to limit group bookings to a maximum of 10 people per tour at one time. If larger than 10 people, a 10 minute waiting period may be applied.
The Museum reserves the right to postpone or cancel an individual’s / group’s visit should it be necessary to do so, due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its control. The Museum will endeavor to give the individual / group as much advance notice as possible of a postponement or cancellation and shall endeavor to rearrange the visit to an alternative suitable date. The Museum shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the individual / group in connection with the booking or the visit.
The Museum Reserves the Right to Admission at all times and at its sole discretion.
